Consent Notice under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023
1. Purpose of This Notice
This notice is provided under Section 5 of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDP Act") to seek your free, specific, informed, unconditional, and unambiguous consent, given by clear affirmative action, for the processing of your personal data by Vishwamangal Marathi Foundation (the "Data Fiduciary") for the purposes described below.
2. Personal Data Covered by This Consent
Identity and contact details (name, email, phone, photograph, postal address including country, state, district, city, pincode); business details (business name, category, forum, region, bio); KYC documents you upload (personal identity documents and business documents); membership activity records (attendance, referrals, TYFCB, one-to-ones, applications); payment and receipt records; support communications; consents; and audit logs of your actions on the Portal.
3. Purposes for Which Consent Is Sought
(i) Creating and managing your membership account; (ii) publishing your networking profile in the member directory visible to other logged-in members; (iii) operating the referral and one-to-one system; (iv) recording and reporting meeting attendance; (v) verifying your identity and business through KYC document review by authorised administrators; (vi) recording membership fees and issuing receipts; (vii) sending you service and administrative emails; (viii) providing member support; (ix) maintaining security, audit trails, and preventing misuse; and (x) complying with applicable law. Your personal data will be processed only for these purposes.
4. Your Rights as a Data Principal
Under the DPDP Act you have the right to: access information about your personal data and its processing; correction, completion, and updating of your data; erasure of data that is no longer necessary for the stated purposes (subject to retention required by law); grievance redressal through the Data Fiduciary; and to nominate another individual to exercise your rights in the event of your death or incapacity.
5. Withdrawal of Consent
You may withdraw your consent at any time through the Portal's Support feature or by writing to the Foundation. Withdrawal is as easy as giving consent. Upon withdrawal, the Foundation will cease processing that depends on consent within a reasonable time, unless processing is required or authorised by law. Please note that because member data is essential to operating the Portal, withdrawal of consent may result in suspension or closure of your membership account.
6. How to Complain
Grievances may be raised through the Portal's Support feature or in writing to the Foundation's Grievance Officer. If your grievance is not resolved satisfactorily, you have the right to complain to the Data Protection Board of India in the manner prescribed under the DPDP Act.
7. Declaration
By ticking the DPDP consent checkbox and clicking "Accept & Continue", you confirm that you have read and understood this notice, that you are 18 years of age or older, and that you voluntarily consent to the processing of your personal data by Vishwamangal Marathi Foundation for the purposes stated above.
